Meet Kay9 the 22 year old rapper from New Jersey.
On this short interview he talks about his music and many more .He is definitely an Artist to look out for.

Q: What first got you into music and when did you start?
A:I first discovered rap music when I found an Eminem album in an old box of CD’s my parents had. I popped it in and gave it a listen and instantly fell in love. From there I branched out and listened to tons of other artists within hip-hop and fell so in love with the culture. I started in the 6th grade so around 11 years old is when I began to create my own music.
Q:How would you describe your own music?
A:I would describe my sound to be a mix of melodic and lyrical type backpack rap.
Q:What artist or artists do you look forward to and would like to collaborate with?
A:I dont like to say I look up to any artists in particular. There’s of course artists in which I listen to, have learned from, and favor over others but I don’t strive to be like anyone but myself. With that being said though, Eminem, Hopsin, Joyner Lucas, Desiigner, XXXTentacion, Childish Gambino, & Trippie Redd are just a few of these artists.
Q:Are there any new projects we should be looking forward to?
A:My newest single “Hands Up” just came out and is available to stream every where now! The music video for “Hands Up” will be coming out on 4/18/2021. After that I can’t say too much yet but I do have a bigger project releasing next!
Q:Is there any favourite quote or word of advice you would like to share?
A:As for a word of advice, be yourself. Always maintain GOAT ENERGY. No one else in the world is you or can ever be you. Be proud of that, own it. Do anything and everything you want to do regardless of judgement from anyone!
