Introducing A.D, 20 year old from The Philippines . Q: What do you do?
A: I guess (now) I write in an effort to find someone I've never met. My poetry is mostly about the journey of coming into my own, shedding the people I used to be, and telling stories I hope will resonate with people.
Q:Awesome
So when did you start writing?
A:I started writing when I was around 13, but they weren't any good .
Q:Are there any inspirations behind your writings?
A:Yes! I have synesthesia (which I think is common with artists?). Because of that I'm heavily inspired by music and films. Most of the time, I write from experience, but the way I write it is always influenced by the music I listen to, the films I write, and photos I see.

Q: Interesting
What would you say is the imagery of your poetry?
A:I like to use imagery that's vivid and palpable. I like it when you read a poem and you can feel what's being described as if it was happening to you, so I try to do the paint similar pictures in my poetry.
Q:Is there any favourite quote or word of advice you would like to share?
A: There's a quote I like by Max Ehrmann: "Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here."
